Summary

Site of post-medieval Rope Walk (a rope making works). Associated with a surviving 18th- or 19th-century wall that extends south from Ludham house. This is made of local brick with flat cope.

"18th- or 19th-century wall of former Rope Walk, partly against west wall of square garden, red brick, extending 240 yards [219m] southwards; of local brick with flat cope."

The mapping for this record has been adjusted to reflect the full extent of the rope walk shown on the Ordnance Survey Six-inch First Edition map (S2). Previously it was just mapped as a point at TF 9157 4340.
