Summary

This cottage dates to the early 18th century and later. It is built from red brick with a pantile roof and was formerly two cottages. It is set on a brick plinth and has a platband stringcourse and dentil eaves cornice. The windows are 19th century in date and the chimneystack a 20th century addition. At the northwest gable are two flint and brick 18th century cottages.

Cottage. Early 18th century and later. Red brick. Roof black pantiles. Two storeys, four bays, formerly two cottages. Façade. Brick plinth, platband string course, dentil eaves cornice. Ground floor: two three-light cast iron 19th century casement windows, glazing bars, under segmental rubbed brick arches. First floor: two and single light casements, glazing bars. Two door embrasures under rubbed brick arches, 20th century doors. Brick coped parapets, 20th century chimneystack below ridge off-centre. As southwest gable, single storey flint, pantiled lean-to. At northwest gable two flint, brick dressed, pantiled cottages 18th century, altered. Rear (east) façade: four bays: first floor windows 20th century in original openings. Formerly a lobby entrance house, later two cottages, interior altered. Included for group value.
