Summary

This flint and red brick house has a date stone inscribed 'BK 1805'. It was originally three cottages but has now been knocked through into one house. Stone carvings, probably from the priory (NHER 2029) are set into the wall.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"Datestone 'BK 1805'. Flint with red brick dressings. Pantile roof with gabled ends. Brick dentil eaves; 2 storeys. West side 4 widely-spaced windows. Two-light casements with glazing bars. Originally 3 cottages, now one; blocked doorways. Stone carvings set into wall, probably from Priory."

The carvings mentioned above are more probably from the adjacent friary than the priory; it should also be noted that the north quoins of the building are of massive lumps of limestone. Could this building have been connected with the friary?
