Summary

This letterbox dates to around 1870. It is made from cast-iron and is hexagonal in shape with foliage decoration on top. In about 2006 this letterbox was damaged by a reversing lorry and was removed for conservation. The letterbox has since been replaced.

Before 2006.
The Letter Box Study Group records show that before 2006 this letterbox was severely damaged by a reversing lorry and was removed for conservation. The letterbox has since been replaced and the location of the original box is unknown.
