1973. Building Survey.
Nos 22 and 24 examined by Royal Commission.
No 24 is a three-storey timber frame and plaster range running parallel to the street with a two storey addition in the same material to the rear. It consists in part at the west of the remains of a good-quality, two-storey, timber-framed building of 16th-century date. It appears that it was heightened in the 18th century, presumably at the same time as No 22. The lean-to to the south is also timber framed and of a similar date to the early work in the front range. There is evidence to suggest that this building originally extended further to the west. The main stair is of early 19th-century date and its introductions reflects the total reorganisation of the buildings and perhaps the amalgamation of Nos 22 and 24 into a single property.
