Summary

No 70 is an early 19th century house, of painted brick with a pantile roof. This two storey building may stand upon the site of a medieval hermitage (NHER 26327).

Listing Description Excerpt:
"No 70 Bishopgate.
House. Early 19th century. Painted brick and pantile roof two storeys. Three widely spaced first floor windows. Central door with plain pilastered surround and small flat hood. Sash windows throughout with glazing bars and segmental arches. Corbelled brick cornice and two-span roof."
