Summary

This public house dates to the 19th century with 20th century alterations. The painted brick building occupies a corner site with a long extension along Pottergate. The off-centre door is set in a plain surround and a large garage opening exists at the extreme left. There are sash windows throughout.

"Public house. 19th century with 20th century alterations. Painted brick. Plain and pantiles. Corner site with long extension along Pottergate. Pottergate facade: two storeys. Three widely spaced first floor windows. Corner entry with simple pilasters and flanking mullion and transome windows with arched transomes."
