Summary

This house dates to the mid 19th century, but probably incorporates an earlier cottage at the rear and has later alterations. It stands on a rendered plinth and has a slate roof with a red brick ridge chimney. The whole house is built in a Victorian Gothick style. A canted single-storey bay to the right of the main facade has large-paned sashes and a dentilled cornice. A mid 20th century flat-roofed extension in similar style is set back to right.

Listing Description excerpt:
"House. Mid 19th century, probably incorporating earlier cottage at rear and with later alterations. Rendered plinth; roughcast; slate roof; red brick ridge chimney. Victorian Gothick style. Two storeys; two first-floor windows. Entered from the right side; panelled (part-glazed) door flanked by pilasters with panelled entablature and small hood on consoles...Canted single- storey bay to right of main facade has large-paned sashes and a dentilled cornice. 20th-century bow-fronted bay under lean-to roof to left...Overhanging eaves. Mid-20th-century flat-roofed extension in similar style is set back to right."
