Summary

Point Cottage is a mid-19th-century house with later alterations. This two storey building is of painted brick with a gable-fronted pantile roof and one red brick chimney. Built in the Victorian Gothic style as an extension to No 2 Ipswich Road (NHER 48289) and No 2 Newmarket Road (NHER 48218).

Listing Description excerpt:
"House. Mid 19th century with later alterations. Painted brick; gable-fronted pantile roof; one red brick chimney. Victorian Gothic style. Two storeys; two first-floor windows at right-angles to street. Entered through later single-storey wing to left, with ribbed and studded door. One first-floor has lattice glazing bars...Included for group value as an extension to No 2 Ipswich Road [NHER 48289] and No 2 Newmarket Road [NHER 48218]."
