Summary

This pair of houses date to the 19th century. They have a yellow brick façade, slate roofing and a central red brick chimney as well as two gable-end chimneystacks. The lay out of the windows is symmetrical. A 20th-century garage has been added to the right.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Pair of houses. Late 19th century. Yellow brick facade; slate roof; central red brick chimney and two gable-end chimneystacks. Two storey and attic; eight first-floor windows, symmetrical. Four steps up panelled doors off-centre in each unit, with plain overlaid brick pilasters and dentilled cornices. Two-storey canted end bays have dentilled string courses and large-paned sash windows…Two flat-roofed dormers with casements. 20th-century garage to right. This property is not shown on Morant's Map of Norwich, 1873."

The forecourt wall, gates and gate piers to Nos 6 and 8 Lime Tree Road were separately listed Grade II in June 1972. These are now recorded as NHER 66890.
