Summary

This two storey farmhouse probably dates back to the 17th century. It was faced in red brick in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"Probably 17th century, faced in red brick in 18th century and 19th century. Steeply pitched tiled roof with gabled ends. Internal brick chimney stack with rebuilt diamond-shaped shafts. Cross wing at southeast end with tumbled brick gables. Two storeys and attic."

Visit. February 2015
This building has s late 16th century timber frame with a slightly later parlour crosswing. Jowled posts with tie beams. Crosswing with fine clasped purlin roof with cambered collars and single windbraces. Ovolo and ogee moulded beams with ogee and nicked chamfer stops in crosswing. Stack with typical shafts of sawtooth section. Brick encasing of c. 1700 with full tumbing-in to gables and sawtooth cornices.
