Summary

No 12 Broad Street and No 17 Old Market Place form a two-storey 18th-century stuccoed brick building with a gable-ended roof of black glazed pantiles. There is a good central doorway with Ionic fluted columns supporting a dentilled pediment in deep frieze, and fielded panel door. There is a Victorian shop on the right hand corner with a cornice and pilasters. The left hand return facing the Old Market Place is brick faced, with vermiculated keyblocks, a doorway with a hood on console brackets, and an attic window in the gable over the right hand end.

Listing Description excerpt:
"18th century. Stuccoed. Gable-ended roof of black glazed pantiles. Overhanging eaves with dentil cornice. Two storeys. Three windows, sashes with glazing bars. Good central doorway with Ionic fluted columns... Victorian shop on right hand corner... Left hand return facing Old Market Place brick faced, four windows…doorway with hood on console brackets, attic window in gable over right hand end."
