Summary

No 33 The Thoroughfare is a two-storey 17th-century or earlier house with a steeply pitched gable-ended roof of black glazed pantiles. It was refronted in 1882 in grey brick with a parapet surmounted by ball finials and an eagle over the datestone at the centre. The ground floor has a large late 19th century pilastered shop front with cornice, and there is a 17th-century stuccoed timber-framed wing of two storeys at the rear.
