Summary

Coll's Farmhouse is a timber-framed and brick house, formerly a farmhouse, dating to the early 18th century. This former lobby-entrance plan building was altered in the 19th century and has a been rendered and colourwashed.

Listing Description excerpt:
"House, formerly farmhouse. Early 18th century. Timber-framed and brick, rendered and colourwashed. Pantiled roof, black glazed to front. Formerly lobby-entrance plan, altered 19th century. Two storeys in four bays. 20th-century gabled porch left of centre...Coved eaves with timber brackets below gabled roof. Square stack left of centre over porch with four panelled flues. Two-storey 19th-century gabled addition to rear...Stack on rear roof slope.
INTERIOR. Chamfered bridging beams to ground floor. Inserted staircase through space formerly occupied by stack. Roof of principals and taper-tenoned butt purlins. One windbrace survives each side. Boarded at collar level."
