Summary

The Rectory is outwardly of 1871 but this rendering and remodelling hides a 17th century timber-framed front range. Of two storeys, this house has a steep pantile roof with gabled ends with shaped and pierced barge boards. To the left and right the ground floor projects in painted brick, and there are large mid 19th century plastered and painted brick wings at the rear, with hipped slate roofs. The interior of the 17th century front range retains ceiling beams with ovolo moulded chamfers and carved stops.
