Summary

Nos 6 and 8 The Thoroughfare form a single two-storey 18th-century painted brick building with a steeply pitched nipped pantile roof with overhanging eaves. The building has a moulded string course at the floor level, and a ground floor doorway off centre in a moulded case with a rectangular fanlight and moulded pertinent and fielded panel door. To the left there is a late 19th- or early 20th-century large strop front on the corner with a fascia with cornice. The building has two small flat-roof dormers and a central brick chimney stack.

"18th century. Painted brick. Steeply pitched nipped pantile roof with overhanging eaves. Two storeys and attic. Six windows. Sashes without glazing bars. Moulded string course at floor level. Ground floor doorway off centre in moulded case...to left late 19th-/early 20th-century large shop front on corner with fascia with cornice."
