Full Description
The Crown Inn Public House
This 17th-century timber-framed house served as the premises of a public house under the name "Crown" or "Crown Inn" from at least 1836 to 1970. Known licencees have been listed on the Norfolk Public Houses website (S1) from 1836 to 1937. The same website records a closing date of 29 September 1970. The public house was associated with Lacons and Whitbread breweries.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"Formerly a public house, now two dwellings. Southeast wing at right angles to road, 17th century timber-frame, roughcast with ground floor faced in modern red brick. Two-storeys and attic, low-pitched pantile roof with gabled ends, brick chimneystack offcentre."
