Summary

This late 18th century brick chapel has a pilastered doorcase. Inside there is a gallery supported on slim columns around three sides of the chapel. A school room was added to the northwest in 1904.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"Late 18th century chapel. Colour-washed brick, partly plastered. Hipped black glazed pantile roof, two storeys of windows. West side two bays, south side three bays. Sashes with glazing bars. West side left hand pilastered doorcase with entablature with reeded frieze and cornice, and panelled door."

According to (S3) the chapel was built in 1811 for a congregation that originated in 1774.

Baptist church set to be formally recommissioned after the completion of extensive rebuilding which was carried out after a 2009 fire which gutted the building.
