Summary
Old Beams is a 17th or 18th century plastered timber framed cottage with a steep tiled roof with gabled ends. This two storey building has an off centre brick chimney stack and a later internal stack. There is a modern gabled porch at the centre of the cottage front, and a later lean-to at the rear.

English Heritage Listing:
Old Beams, Diss Road. Scole.
17th or 18th century cottage. Plastered timber frame. Steep tiled roof with gabled ends. Brick chimney stack off centre and another later internal stack. Two storeys. Three widely spacer windows. Two-light casements with gothic lights, some with leaded panes. Modern gabled porch at centre. Later lean-to at rear.
