Summary

Nos 8 and 10 Cock Street form a pair of early 18th-century houses, altered in the early 19th century and 20th centuries. This two-storey building is of brick with a pantiled roof, although they were formerly thatched.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Pair of houses. Early 18th century, altered early 19th century and 20th century. Brick with pantiled roof, formerly thatched. Two storeys. Two central 20th century doors. No.8 lit through a segmental casement to ground floor at right of door and a 19th century three-light 19th century casement to first floor."

Faced with bricks with horizontal skintlings and in appearance of around 1800. Left hand end of façade protrudes as if it were a return and there is a straight join near to the right hand end. Thus there may be a possibility that the building may have been timber framed.
