Summary

Earthworks of possible medieval ridge and furrow are visible on aerial photographs. A group of roughly north to south aligned possible ridge and furrow earthworks are present in the northwest corner of Kirby Cane park (NHER 29792). They are likely to represent a former area of medieval arable land that was taken into the park in the 19th century. However, by 1963 the field was in arable cultivation and the earthworks had been levelled.
