Summary

Cropmarks of linear ditches and incomplete enclosures of medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs. They are located just to the north of an area of former common land and are probably related to other enclosure and field system cropmarks in the vicinity (NHER 17335, 45005, 45007).

Map

August 2006. Norfolk NMP
Cropmarks of linear ditches and incomplete enclosures of medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). These cropmarks are centred on TM 3645 9292. Four incomplete rectilinear enclosures are present in the western part of the group of cropmarks. These range in size from at least 19m by 7m to at least 25m by 21m. Cropmarks of linear ditches on north to south and west to east alignments are present in the eastern part of the group. It is possible that some of these ditches are a continuation of those present further to the east (NHER 17335). All of the cropmarks in this group have a similar alignment to the surrounding field and property boundaries and are probably of medieval to post medieval date.
