Listing Description Excerpt:
"House, formerly public house, now two houses. 17th century and later. Main range runs north-south. Cross wing runs west from south end, balanced by a cross wing running east from north end. Brick. No. 2 occupies north half of main block and attached cross wing, No. 4 the remainder."

(S3) records details of licencees from 1793. It also states that sale particulars from 1810 describe the property as having extensive stabling, spacious granary, coal yard and lime kiln, and with the Right of Ferrying across the river. It ceased being a public house in 1912.
