Map

May 2006. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of undated linear ditches, probably field boundaries, are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). These cropmarks are centred on TF 7273 3487. Five sections of ditch cropmark are present on roughly west to east and southwest to northeast alignments. The alignment of some of these ditches is similar to that of a medieval to post medieval field boundary ditch cropmark further to the north (NHER 43369). However these ditches do not correspond to field boundaries marked on an estate plan of Sedgeford dating to 1630 (S3). It is likely that the cropmarks do relate to field or other boundary ditches of medieval to post medieval date.
J. Albone (NMP), 31 May 2006.
