Full Description
May 2006. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of two parallel ditches, possibly defining a trackway of late prehistoric date, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TF 7320 3431. Two ditch cropmarks are visible for up to 490m on a southwest to northeast alignment between TF 7302 3418 to TF 7343 3444. The spacing between the two ditches varies from 6m to 15m along the length of the cropmarks. The eastern end of the ditches are crossed by Peddars Way Roman road (NHER 1289) indicating that they may be of pre-Roman origin. It is possible that the ditches define a trackway or boundary feature of Bronze Age to Iron Age date.
