Summary

The original chalk building may have been the village workhouse but has now been converted into a garage and largely demolished. The rest of the building was built around 1820 as four cottages. It is now one large house.

Central portion of property dates from mid 19th century (around 1820) when built as two storeys to extend chalk building on east side which was originally two storeys and wider (village workhouse?). It is now only a single storey extension. Used as up to four cottages in the 19th and early 20th century. Extensions added to west side and rear in last twenty years. Now one large house.
