The earthworks an L-shaped post medieval sea defence bank is visible on aerial photographs of the Stiffkey saltmarsh (S1). This feature is likely to be part of the post medieval embankment and improvement of the saltmarsh.
An L-shaped bank is visible as a slight earthwork on the saltmarsh, running from TF 9654 4440 to TF 9651 4434 for 66m, then to the east and continuing for another 22m to TF 9652 4433. The earthwork is approximately 2 to 3m wide.
