The earthworks of an elongated pit or ditch are visible on aerial photographs on the Stiffkey saltmarsh (S1). The feature runs from TF 9722 4421 to TF 9720 4417 and measures 40m by 3 to 4m wide. It seems likely that this feature is post medieval in date.
