Map

October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
A possible World War Two structure or pillbox is visible on aerial photographs on the edge of the Stiffkey saltmarsh (S1). The remains of rectangular structure is visible in 1945 at TF 9836 4420. This measures 7.5m by 3.5m and the short face of the rectangular is facing towards the salt marsh. This structure may be a pillbox or similar defensive position, and presumably part of the coastal defence of the area.
S. Massey (NMP), 26 February 2003.
