Map

October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a linear feature of unknown date are visible on Ordnance Survey aerial photographs from 1973 (S1). It is possible that this ditch defines part of a rectilinear enclosure, although it could equally be a field division. The boundary is between 1 to 1.5m wide and forms an L-shape, running from TF 9653 4153 to TF 9656 4142. The northern section of the ditch has an unusual notch or dogleg in the ditch. If the ditch does define part of an enclosure then it would potentially measure at least 60m by 90m and possibly be of Iron Age to Roman date. Other enclosures potentially also of this date are located approximately 220m to the southwest (NHER 11717).
