Map

October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
A pair of linear cropmarks of unknown date is visible on Ordnance Survey aerial photographs from 1970 (S1). The cropmarks are situated on the edge of the photograph, so they may be more extensive than is visible. The location of the features on the edge of the photograph also meant that the mapped position of the features may be slightly inaccurate due a lack of sufficient control points around the cropmarks. The main ditch runs from TF 949451 41051 to TF 95043 40987, 111m, and then it turns to the south for a further 9m to TF 95041 40979. To the south of this is another linear running from TF 95039 40975 to TF 95077 40954. The whole area is covered with geological cropmarks and these may be masking additional linear features of archaeological origin.
S. Massey (NMP), 12 March 2003.
