Map

November 2006. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks, superficially resembling an enclosure and trackway, are visible on aerial photographs (S1)-(S3). The ‘enclosure’, which has been mapped by the NMP, is visible at TG 3028 2786. The ‘trackway’, which has not been mapped, extends southwards from the enclosure to approximately TG 3018 2759. Although parts of the site, such as the south and east sides of the enclosure, have some of the appearance of man-made features, overall the cropmarks appear to be of geological rather than archaeological origin. Other geological marks are visible elsewhere in the vicinity, while archaeological cropmarks (NHER 45256) surrounding the site are much more regular and defined in appearance.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 29 November 2006.
