Map

November 2006. Norfolk NMP
A World War Two slit trench is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). This trench was positioned on the corner of Ropes Hill and Lower Street at Horning at TG 3405 1784. It had a crenellated pattern plan and extended for at least 60m. Its position along the field boundary suggests that it was for defence rather than military training.
J. Albone (NMP), 24 November 2006
