Map

November 2006. Norfolk NMP
Cropmarks of a rectangular enclosure and linear ditch are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3053 1660 and were previously partly recorded as NHER 30567. The enclosure is rectangular in plan with a ditch of up to 2.5m wide and internal dimensions of 60m by 39m. It lies on a southwest to northeast axis and is cut by the access road to Wroxham Yacht Club. An 85m long section of linear ditch cropmark is present on a parallel southwest to northeast alignment 12m to the southeast of the enclosure. A larger enclosure on the same alignment is present 160m to the east (NHER 30567). The date and function of this enclosure is unclear but it is possibly of medieval or Roman origin.
