The remains of a World War Two roadblock are visible on wartime aerial photographs on Danby Road, Gorleston on Sea (S1). The site is centred on TG 5234 0491. In 1944 all that remains of this roadblock are markings on the road surface, which indicate that two horizontal bars or rails for erected across the road.
