Full Description
November 2006. Norfolk NMP
Cropmarks of undated linear ditches and pits are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S4). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3062 1671. Linear ditch cropmarks are present on a variety of roughly west to east and north to south alignment. One of these ditches cuts across a rectangular enclosure cropmark (NHER 30567). Two pit cropmarks are also present in this group. A sub-square pit cropmark measuring approximately 6.5m by 5.5m is located at TG 3052 1668. A larger rectangular pit cropmark with dimensions of 24m by 8.5m is located at TG 3067 1679. The date and function of these cropmarks is unknown, as is their relationship to the enclosure and ring ditch cropmarks in the same field.
