Map

October 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A line of World War Two bomb craters is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the north of Hobland Hall (S1-S3). The site is centred on TG 5089 0194, although this point does not correspond to an archaeological feature on the ground. The five craters are all between 5-7m in diameter and are between 70-170m apart. They are located at TG 5073 0176, TG 5082 0192, TG 5094 0196, TG 5101 0197 and TG 5112 0202. These craters must have been created late in the war as they are not visible in 1944.
S. Massey (NMP), 24 October 2006.
