Map

October 2006. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of probable post medieval field boundaries are visible to the west of Cliff Cottages, Hopton on Sea (S1-S2). The site is centred on TG 5301 0056. These land divisions form no obvious part of the more extensive system of post medieval field boundaries to the immediate west, recorded under 45159, which follow a different alignment. These cropmarks are located on the eastern edge of an area of complex and multi-period cropmarks and therefore there must be some uncertainty as to the date of these features, although they do appear to relate to the post medieval field layout. The boundaries mapped running diagonally to the rest of the site could be related to drainage.
