Summary

A cropmark a possible ring ditch, perhaps of Bronze Age date, is visible on aerial photographs. It is slightly sub-circular in plan with a narrow ditch and an external diameter of 31m. It is not complete and has a 23m wide gap on its southeast side. Although it is probable that this cropmark relates to a ring ditch of Bronze Age date, it could also be natural in origin. It is situated on the crest of a small hill at 6m OD.

A cropmark a possible ring ditch, perhaps of Bronze Age date, is visible on aerial photographs (S1). This cropmark is centred on TG 3122 1787. The ring ditch is slightly sub-circular in plan with a narrow ditch and an external diameter of 31m. It is not complete and has a 23m wide gap on its southeast side. It is possible that this is due to a change in the geology or soil type rather than it being a deliberate break in the ditch. Although it is probable that this cropmark relates to a ring ditch of Bronze Age date, it could also be natural in origin. It is situated on the crest of a small hill at 6m OD.
