Summary

An evaluation was undertaken in 2006 to establish whether the proposed line of the Saxon defensive ditch was present on this site. There was no evidence of the ditch and no archaeological remains were encountered.

Trenching sought to establish whether the proposed line of the Saxon defensive ditch was present in this location.
There was no evidence of the ditch and no archaeological remains whatsoever.
