Summary

The cropmarks of a small group of undated field boundaries and a small rectilinear enclosure are visible on aerial photographs alongside the New Road in-between Bradwell and Belton. Although undated it is possible that some or all of these cropmarks relate to field boundaries and enclosures of a relatively late date, possibly medieval to post medieval and associated with the medieval to post medieval boundaries recorded under NHER 11552.

Map

May 2008. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a small group of undated field boundaries and a small rectilinear enclosure are visible on aerial photographs alongside the New Road in-between Bradwell and Belton (S1-S4). Although undated it is possible that some or all of these cropmarks relate to field boundaries and enclosures of a relatively late date, possibly medieval to post medieval. As components of the site are aligned either parallel or perpendicular to the surrounding field layout and the parish boundary between Bradwell and Belton with Browston. These more fragmentary boundaries are likely to be associated with the more major medieval to post medieval boundaries recorded under NHER 11552.

The possible enclosure is located alongside a double ditched boundary or trackway at TG 4926 0320 and is approximately 20m by 25m.
