Summary

The cropmarks of a small group of undated field boundaries and a possible rectilinear enclosure of unknown date are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Bradwell. The site is intersected by the Browston Lane. These cropmarks are located to the immediate south of an enclosure (NHER 18388), which may be of Roman date, and to the north of a possible Roman road (NHER 43591). The cropmarks recorded under this number would appear to represent a different phase to these two possible elements of the Roman landscape. It is possible that they pre-date this period, although this is not certain.
