Summary

The cropmarks recorded under this NHER number represent undated and fragmentary cropmarks located to the south of Cherry Lane, Belton with Browston. The majority of the features are fragmentary linear ditches that are likely to represent the remains of former field boundaries of unknown and post medieval date. The cropmarks in this area that appeared to be of late prehistoric or Roman date have been recorded under NHER 45229.

The cropmarks recorded under NHER number represent undated and fragmentary cropmarks located to the south of Cherry Lane, Belton with Browston (S1-S4). The site is centred on TG 4953 0152. The majority of the features recorded are fragmentary linear ditches that are likely to represent the remains of former field boundaries of unknown and post medieval date. The cropmarks in this area that appeared to be of late prehistoric or Roman date have been recorded under NHER 45229.

Although the three trenches excavated coincided with several of the fragmentary linear cropmarks in this group no corresponding sub-surface remains were identified.
