Summary

A metal detecting rally held here in 2006 recorded a number of flint implements including a possible Late Upper Palaeolithic or Early Mesolithic blade. Other finds include a Middle Bronze Age tanged chisel, Roman pottery, an unusual composite Roman plate brooch and a single silver coin dating from the reign of Edward II. Metal-detecting between 2007 and 2017 recovered Roman coins, a Middle Bronze Age moustache-shaped unidentified object, and a medieval thimble.
