Map

March 2007. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed development site. From context 1.
This work recorded five undated ditches and four pits. The ditches were located in the southern part of the site and ran parallel to one another on a NNW to SSE alignment. These ditches are almost parallel to the A140 (which lies to the east of the site) and may represent medieval or post medieval field boundaries indicating strip fields in this area. The four pits were located in the north-east corner of the site and are possibly of prehistoric date as struck flint was recovered from this area of the site.
See report (S1) for further details.
