Full Description
March 2007. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of a rectilinear enclosure of possible medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3). These earthworks are centred on TG 3705 1557. The enclosure is rectangular in plan and has external dimensions of 26m by 19m. A 10m wide gap, probably an entrance, is present on the northwest side of the enclosure. The location of this enclosure suggests that it is likely to be of medieval to post medieval date. It is possible that it surrounded a structure, although no evidence of this or an earthwork platform were observed and its function is unknown.
