Full Description
December 2006. Field visit, after the site was identified by Forestry Commission staff.
Located in Crescent Wood and crosses several forestry tracks. The mapped location is approximate as the handheld GPS unit used did not work under the forest canopy.
A low bank survives as an earthwork. It is at least 550m long and is up to 0.5m high.
It appears on (S1) and may be a former heathland boundary bank.
D. Robertson (NLA), 11 April 2007.
March 2018. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
This bank is now recorded alongside others recorded in the area from lidar imagery under NHER 61991.
S. Horlock (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 7th March 2018.
