Summary

Metal-detecting in 2006 and 2007 recovered Mesolithic and Neolithic worked flints; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval jettons and tokens and a number of other metal objects. The metal finds include a Middle-Late Bronze Age copper alloy rapier blade fragment; a Bronze Age copper alloy axehead fragment; a Late Saxon finger ring and buckle; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval monumental brass fragment and thimble; a medieval/post-medieval skillet handle, padlock and copper alloy vessel leg and post-medieval book clasps, saddle pommel, knife handle, crotal bells, lead bird feed fragments, lead cloth seal and lead weights.

1 Middle-Late Bronze Age copper alloy flat-rib rapier blade fragment (S1).
1 Bronze Age copper alloy axehead fragment (S1).
2 Roman coins.
1 Late Saxon copper alloy finger ring and 1 buckle.
7 medieval coins, 2 buckles, 1 harness pendant/dress accessory, 1 thimble, 1 strap end, 1 monumental brass fragment, 1 strap plate and 1 annular brooch.
1 medieval/post-medieval strap loop, 2 buckles, 1 barrel padlock and 1 copper alloy vessel leg.
5 post-medieval coins, 3 jettons and 2 tokens, 2 book clasps, 1 saddle pommel, 1 hooked tag, 1 knife handle, 6 buckles, 5 crotal bells, 7 copper alloy buttons, 1 silver button, 1 lead cloth seal, 1 lead bird feeder and 2 lead weights.
