Summary

Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pot sherds, and Roman, medieval and post medieval metal objects were found during metal detecting survey in 2007. Objects included a Roman brooch, and unusual medieval buckle and several medieval or post medieval copper alloy vessel fragments.

Full Description

March-April 2007. Metal-detecting.
1 Roman brooch fragment (Colchester type).
1 ?Late Saxon pottery sherd (?Thetford type).
22 medieval pottery sherds (14 unglazed, 3 glazed, 5 glazed grimston), 2 buckle frames (inc 1 unusual), 1 thimble and 2 lead weights.
2 medieval/post-medieval pottery sherds (LMT) and 3 vessel fragments.
1 post-medieval pottery sherd (GRE), 1 buckle frame fragment and 1 belt/harness mount.
