A bank was recorded during the Felbrigg Estate Woodland Archaeological Earthwork Rapid Identification Survey in 2006. It links to an existing wood boundary to the east and is shown on the 1822 Estate Map.

Felbrigg Estate Woodland Archaeological Earthwork Rapid Identification Survey. Smith’s Rough, Site 23:
An east-west bank of 3m spread and up to 0.4m high links to an existing wood boundary to the east.
